The 2021 NBA draft yielding some promising prospects for the Philadelphia 76ers. They selected a potential long-term 3-and-D player with their late first-round pick and they then addressed their big men depth issue when they selected two skilled ones at 50 and 53.
Jaden Springer, Charles Bassey, and Filip Petrusev will need some time to develop and they won’t exactly help the Sixers right away, but they are guys who can be helpful to this team in the future. They are all some really solid players who have bright futures.
To help Sixers Wire fully evaluate these prospects, former Sixers scout Michael VandeGarde sat down to discuss what he likes about all three rookies. VandeGarde spent 20 years in the NBA, 18 of them with the Sixers, and he is now working as a part-owner and advisor for Coach Tube to continue developing younger talent.
