The Packers have other fish to fry than just Aaron Rodgers. After months of negotiations, star wideout Davante Adams and Green Bay have broken off long-term extension talks with no current plans to resume them, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The two sides have found themselves in a bad place after the club’s proposals did not involve Adams becoming the highest-paid wideout in the league, Rapoport added. When it comes to the Buffalo Bills and players making their feelings known about the COVID-19 vaccine, we’ve seen two types of responses. The most frequent is the one Josh Allen took. The quarterback declined to comment at all, saying to each their own. Others have done the same. Then there’s Cole Beasley, who is perhaps the most-vocal player in the NFL opposed to the vaccination
Stefon Diggs has now entered the chat. On Thursday, the NFL released a memo that was pretty straight forward. It explained that an outbreak in a locker room due to COVID-19 could result in a forfeit if a game needs to be canceled. The team with COVID cases would be handed a loss. In 2020, the league did its best to reschedule things. With their Thursday memo, some are taking the NFL’s message as a… hard suggestion for players to get vaccinated.
Like the league beating around the bush, it kind of sounds like Diggs is, too. He appears to have taken the most pro-vaccine player stance on the Bills to date. Only Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott had expressed such sentiments prior to Diggs
Personally I agree with what our QB Josh Allen said, “to each their own,” extra safety precautions must be taken in order for all the players to stay safe while playing.

We have had a lot of conversation about Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and #BillsMafia living in Wildest Dreams Land after the season he had last year. We have since had a lot of conversation about him taking the next step and what that could look like as well as what regression might look like. What exactly does progress look like? What does plateauing look like? What does regression look like? Is all regression bad? What if the Bills become a heavy ground-game offense and simply don’t need Allen to throw as much in 2021, and that philosophy gets them to the Super Bowl? Do the stats matter?
The addition of Emmanuel Sanders opposite of Stefon Diggs should give Allen two dependable targets in the passing game. But the Bills got better on the other side of the ball this offseason, too.
They addressed their inconsistent pass rush by selecting defensive linemen Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham with their first- and second-round picks, respectively. Those two will join Mario Addison and Jerry Hughes to form a solid edge-rushing unit. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei will also return after he opted out of the 2020 season.
The Bills extended their best second-level coverage defender in Matt Milano, who lines up alongside Tremaine Edmunds to form a strong linebacker duo. All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White mans the secondary with two playmaking safeties, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, both of whom have at least 15 career interceptions.

The Milwaukee Bucks take the title, but win also means Nigeria starlet Jordan Nwora claimed a ring in his rookie season, yes a kid from BUFFALO NY!! On Tuesday, the bucks wrapped up their first title since 1971, closing out at home against the Phoenix Suns the team with the best road record in the regular season. Nwora, who scored his first NBA finals points by draining a 3 in game, had a few special additions to the Deer nation cheering him on from Nigeria training camp in Tokyo. Nwora has been named Nigeria’s final roster for the Olympic Games, and although he has not been part of the training camp so far, the 22 year old from Buffalo New York is expected in Japan soon!
All of Buffalo can say we are very proud of his accomplishments and wish him the best going on to play for Nigeria for Team Nigeria! Continue to be great while also making the city of Buffalo proud.
The U.S. women’s soccer team was among the squads on Wednesday to kneel before their matches in protest of racism, discrimination and inequality as the Olympics officially got underway The U.S. and Sweden teams took a knee before their match. An official blew a whistle and all the players dropped to one knee. According to Yahoo Sports, at least one referee on the field also took a knee. The match officially started moments later. “It’s an opportunity for us to continue to use our voices and use our platforms to talk about the things that affect all of us intimately in different ways,” Megan Rapinoe said after their 3-0 loss to Sweden.
The special uniform modeled after the 1956 Colts is intended to honor the Colts teams of the late 1950s, which featured star players like quarterback Johnny Unitas, fullback Alan Ameche and flanker Lenny Moore. One of the NFL’s best young linebackers is getting paid accordingly. Fred Warner has agreed to a five-year extension with the San Francisco 49ers, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported. The extension is worth more than $95 million, with $40.5 million in guarantees, per Garafolo, making Warner the highest-paid inside linebacker in the league. The extension was to be expected, especially after Warner made his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro team in 2020. Niners coach Kyle Shanahan said in May an extension was simply “a matter of time,” and more importantly said Warner is “a guy that I plan on being here forever and who has earned that.”
New England has officially signed its entire 2021 draft class as training camp nears. Second-round defensive tackle Christian Barmore signed his rookie contract today with the Patriots, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports. The Patriots traded up in the draft to select Barmore with the 38th overall pick. A teammate of the Patriots’ first-round pick Mac Jones at Alabama, Barmore was awarded Defensive MVP honors in this year’s College Football National Championship.
Fred Warner’s record-setting contract not only brought a smile to the face of San Francisco 49ers fans, fellow linebacker Darius Leonard and his reps undoubtedly sport an ear-to-ear grin Wednesday. With Warner’s five-year, $95 million extension in the books, Leonard is next in line to get paid. As with all escalating contract situations among star players, the next to get paid usually becomes the richest at his position.
The Cowboys learned plenty about change, expectations and disappointment in 2020. A 6-10 record and third-place finish in a putrid NFC East will have that effect.
