The Buffalo Bills head back home for the first time since Week 3 to take on a struggling Tennessee Titans team. Here’s the three keys to lead for a pivotal win for the Bills over the Titans in Orchard Park on Sunday.
Don’t let Jefferey Simmons takeover the game for Tennessee’s defensive line
It’s no secret that the Titans arguably got one of the best defenses in the league despite them having a 1-4 record on the season. Jefferey Simmons is one of the premier defensive tackles in the league and the Titans best player on the roster. Buffalo’s offensive line has to keep Simmons in check and not let him takeover the game. If that happens then Tennessee could upset the Bills in Orchard Park thanks to their star defensive player being a game wrecker and giving Allen and the offense a tough day in the office.
Get pressure on Will Levis and force him to make mistakes
One of the main reasons why that the Tennessee Titans have a losing record on the season because their second year quarterback Will Levis has turn over the ball in critical moments. Levis leads the NFL with eight turnovers, including five interceptions (tied for second most) and three lost fumbles (tied for the NFL high). Another thing is that the Titans got one of the worst offensive lines in the league allowing 16 sacks, which ranks in the top 15. Buffalo’s defensive line should apply pressure on Tennessee’s lackluster offensive line and making Levis to commit crucial mistakes.
Found a way to exploit Tennessee’s secondary with the passing game on offense
This past week, Bills traded for Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper giving Josh Allen a new number one wide receiver. Cooper is a vertical deep threat receiver with great route running skills making life easier for Allen. Now it’s excepted that Cooper will his debut as a Buffalo Bill on Sunday, the offense should be more explosive in the passing game with now a true go to guy on the team. The Titans secondary ranks first in the league only allowing 137 passing yards per game. This is led by their safety tandem duo of Quandre Diggs and Amani Hooker, along with the corner trio of L’Jarius Sneed, Jarvis Brownlee, and Roger McCreary. This is a very sneaky good defensive unit in the backfield of the Tennessee’s secondary. So, the Bills need to found a way to get the passing game on offense going to exploit that Titans secondary and get the ball to their playmakers.
