It’s combine week in Indianapolis. This one of the first steps getting towards the NFL Draft and scouting out of the draft prospects showcasing their potential and abilities to all 32 NFL teams. Buffalo Bills having a lot holes to fill on their team, defensive tackle, defensive end, safety, cornerback and wide receiver. These are the draft prospect players that should be on the Bills radar in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.
First round draft prospect player: Kenneth Grant, defensive tackle, Michigan

This is one of the popular draft prospect player that has been mocked to be the Bills first round pick in the draft. Kenneth Grant is the best defensive tackle prospects heading into the NFL Draft. He is one of a kind player could land in the near top 15 of the draft. Coming out of high school, Grant was four star recruited and ranked as the 47th best defensive tackle in the country and eighth best player in his home state Indiana. In 2022, he appeared in 13 games as a freshman at the University of Michigan and finished his first year with eight total tackles. The following year, Grant was an huge contributor to Michigan’s championship run as he had 29 total tackles with five tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, six quarterback hurries, one interception and one fumble recovery. He was recognized a second team All-Big 10 defensive lineman. Then he got an third team All-American honors with Michigan. In 2024, he started 12 games and produced 32 total tackles with 6.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, and three quarterback hurries. Grant has met with the Buffalo Bills at the combine and he said it went smooth. Kenneth Grant would be a great fit to the Buffalo Bills if he falls in the laps of Brandon Beane at the 30th overall pick. Him and Ed Oliver would be a fearful duo to some of the prolific offenses in the league.
First round round draft prospect player: Derrick Harmon, defensive tackle, Oregon

After transferring from Michigan State, Derrick Harmon made a name for himself on the Oregon Ducks this past year. He took advantage of the moment under the bright the lights by becoming one of the best defensive tackle prospects in this year’s draft class. His ability to take on double teams is a big part of what makes him as a run defender. He takes on blocks with good pad levels with a great wide and sturdy base making him hard to move. Harmon is good at sinking his hips to absorb contact and attacking the player he’s lined up against in the trenches. He’s also shown his ability to split combo blocks and make tackles despite taking on two blockers at once. Harmon shown ton of growth at Oregon this season as a pass rusher, which was evidenced of his production heading into the college football playoffs having five sacks in total. He has a good rip move that he can get pressure and flashed with a solid arm over as his secondary move. He can be effective player in the line during games with his aggression and strength to catch offensive linemen off guard and get pressure. Derrick Harmon could potentially be a first round pick to the Buffalo Bills, because if Kenneth Grant is off the board then the next best defensive player prospect in the draft would be Oregon’s best defensive tackle player.
First round round draft prospect player: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A & M

Shemar Stewart has many traits everything you want from an defensive end player transiting to the NFL level. He looks the part, impressive size, good frame and long arms. Stewart accelerates off the ball very well and strong at the point of attack paired with the length of his arm that allows him to extend on blocks and set the edge. His blocking recognition stands out with him being consistent at the line of scrimmage to a offensive linemen. He stays very tight at the line of scrimmage even when he’s unblocked with his speed ability to make tackles from the backside of zone runs. Having said all of that, Stewart is a project as a pass rusher coming into the draft. His movement skillset is worth working with, especially with him being limited with a poor hand use. Also, he has a sub-par hand bend due to some tightness in his lower body, making it difficult for him at the top of the rush efficiently and bringing down the quarterback. He’s good at speed turning into power, but rely on winning with pure strength and athleticism as a pass rusher. In order for Stewart to reach his full potential as a pass rusher at the next level, he will need to have a good defensive line coach. The Bills could draft Shemar Stewart in the first round, but I feel they won’t and take someone else instead. Now defensive end is a need for them considering what they do in free agency. But I feel like a player like Shemar Stewart will need a year or two to fully development as he is viewed as a project player going into the draft.
First round draft prospect player: Nick Emmanwori, safety, South Carolina

This is the biggest need on the Buffalo Bills roster as of right now is the safety position. This past year the secondary position was clearly the weakest link on the roster for the Bills. The secondary of the Buffalo Bills was very hard to watch at home or in attend at the stadium for Bills fans. Luckily for the Bills there’s a plenty of safety prospects at the combine and on draft day they could be keeping a eye on and one of them could be South Carolina’s safety prospect Nick Emmanwori. He built more like a linebacker than safety for his size and height at 6’3 and 220 pounds. Emmanwori is a massive player athletic safety who offers uncommon traits and versatility at the position. With his size he was a excellent strength on the field to take on blockers and power to get ball carriers on the ground. Emmanwori has the athleticism to effectively cover running backs and tight ends in shallow or deep zone coverages and his size to matchup with tight ends in man coverage too. He has good ball skills and uses his size when playing the ball in the air. He’s competitive and very disruptive at the catch point. During his three years at the University of South Carolina, he’s had eleven passes defensed along with four interceptions in 2024 and had two of those returned for a touchdown. Nick Emmanwori should definitely be on the Buffalo Bills radar at the NFL Combine and during the draft as he could potentially be a day one starter in the Bills secondary with his tremendous athleticism and ball skills with his height and size.
Second round draft prospect player: Trey Amos, cornerback, Ole Miss

With Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas looking like to be potentially gone from the team and heading into free agency as a free agent the Bills are going to look for a cornerback at the combine and draft to be Christian Benford’s co-star and that cornerback could be Trey Amos from Ole Miss. Trey Amos is the type of cornerback who you want on your team. He commits no penalties while being aggressive. He could play in zone and man coverage. When Amos is beat by the wide receiver he is covering, he will recover very well in a quick second with his length and size. He can handle runners on his own and doesn’t tripped up with any moves in space allowing him stay in front of the wideout he’s covering. He could be a day two draft pick for the Buffalo Bills with his physical, aggressive, length and size and be a great number two cornerback for Benford.
Second round draft prospect player: Shavon Revel, cornerback, East Carolina

If the Bills can’t get Amos, then plan B would go grab cornerback Shavon Revel from East Carolina. Revel has the coverage skills at man or zone coverage that you want. He has the size and strength to handle biggest receivers and running backs. Revel has amazing footwork and hip movement to be fluid in coverage. He shows that he’s good at the line scrimmage to throw receivers off of their routes or delay them. He’s good in the run defense by stopping running backs anywhere on the field. Shavon Revel will be a great number two cornerback for the Bills, but he could be potentially a true number one corner in the league too.
Second round draft prospect player: Matthew Golden, wide receiver, Texas
It’s no question that the Buffalo Bills needs a field stretcher deep threat receiver for their franchise quarterback Josh Allen. The most popular wide receiver has been mocked a lot to the Bills is no other than Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden. He’s a very explosive playmaker with polished route running ability. Golden has elite separation ability and high level acceleration with his top notch speed. He’s flexible with his body and knows how to break off routes while maintaining and balance. Golden has a good ball skills with his hands. He has a good eye discipline and stays focused at the catch point. Matthew Golden would be a tremendous addition to the Buffalo Bills wide receiver room and giving Josh Allen a true deep threat wideout with elite speed in big moments of the game.
Second round draft prospect player: Savion Williams, wide receiver, TCU

Savion Williams is one of the most unique dynamic playmakers of the wide receivers in this draft class. Williams is like a gadget type player meaning could be play in variant roles as a wide receiver or running back. He has a excellent combination of height, speed and size. He is very fast to blow to away defenders when he breaks into open field. Williams is very dangerous with his hands after the catch to weave through defenders and rip off some yardage. He’s a tough runner in the running back role showing burst to hit the hole. He has impressive cutting ability and agility for big bodied runner for himself with excellent vision to find the open lanes. Savion Williams would be a good fit for the Buffalo Bills as a day 2 pick or maybe a day 3 in the later rounds of the draft. He could be used as versatile player in major roles in Joe Brady’s offensive scheme whether that’s being a wideout or running back.
