Sunday night in the WNBA was full of action as eight teams made an appearance and gave fans quite a show – including a double overtime win by the Phoenix Mercury over Dallas – to end the week.

Mercury vs. Wings

The nail-biter of the day ended in a 97-90 double overtime win for the Phoenix Mercury with three players in the dub club – Kahleah Copper (29 pts), Brittney Griner (24 pts, 9 reb) and the legendary Diana Taurasi (20 pts, 7 reb, 7 assists).

Top performers for the Dallas Wings were Arike Ogunbowale (25 pts, 7 reb, 10 assists) and Teaira McCowan (20 pts, 9 reb).

Liberty vs. Mystics

The New York Liberty took on the Washington Mystics in New York – outscoring Washington 93-88 with consistent offensive and defensive contributions from Jonquel Jones (29 pts, 8 rebounds), Sabrina Ionescu (19 points, 8 assists) and Breanna Stewart (14 pts, 7 rebounds).

Top performers for the Mystics were Jade Melbourne (21 pts) and Myisha Hines-Allen (20 pts, 8 rebounds).

Storm vs. Lynx

Seattle and Minnesota took the floor with the Lynx securing their win at home with a final score of 83-64. Kayla McBride (32 pts) was their top scorer while Napheesa Collier contributed a double-double (19 pts, 14 reb).

Seattle’s Jewell Loyd (25 pts, 7 reb) and Nneka Ogwumike (14 pts, 6 reb) were the top performers for the Storm.

Aces vs. Sparks

Closing the evening were the Los Angeles Sparks and Las Vegas Aces in a close contest that ended in favor of the Sparks 96-92. Dearica Hamby (18 pts, 10 reb) led the Sparks with a double-double, while Rickea Jackson (16 pts) and Aari McDonald (16 pts) also made great efforts.

Tops performers for the Aces were A’ja Wilson (31 pts, 8 reb), Kelsey Plum (24 pts, 5 assists) and Tiffany Hayes (17 pts).

WNBA action continues tomorrow, Monday June 10th at 7pm EST with the Indiana Fever taking on the Connecticut Sun.
