Following back-to-back wins in the Las Vegas Summer League, the Golden State Warriors had the opportunity to extend their win streak in the desert to three consecutive games. However, the New Orleans Pelicans were standing in their way.

After a tie game at halftime, the Warriors and Pelicans traded buckets down the stretch, headlined by 2021 first-round picks Jonathan Kuminga and Trey Murphy III. With seconds ticking down in the fourth quarter, New Orleans’ Naji Marshall buried a tip-in to send the contest to overtime. In overtime, Kuminga was initially called for goaltending, but the call was overturned and ruled an inadvertent whistle. However, Murphy III followed Kuminga’s goaltend with another tip-in to give the Pelicans the lead with 1.3 seconds remaining. After a wild ending in Sin City, the Pelicans earned an overtime victory, 80-79.
