Ramsey out until December, big blow to the Dolphins

Things were going well in Miami the first two days of training camp, until they weren’t. Late into Thursday’s practice Ramsey went down with a knee injury and had to be carted off the field. Later finding out the injury was a left meniscus tear which would require surgery forcing the star cornerback to miss nearly 3/4 of the regular season. This comes as a huge blow to the Dolphins as now what was views as a strength coming into the season looks like a paralyzing weakness. Second-year cornerback Kader Kohou and 2023 second-round pick Cam Smith are the next in line to fill the void in Miami’s secondary. In division that is loaded on the offensive side of the ball, and an even deeper conference the Dolphins cannot afford to have this problem linger into the regular season. They have to figure this out now, and figure it out well in hopes of staying in Superbowl contention

The newly coveted and highest paid league’s coordinator Vic Fangio has his hands full now trying to replace the void of Ramsey in the secondary. Losing Ramsey was a big blow but far from an excuse if this defense was as bad as it was last season. Dolphins play in Los Angeles week 1 as they take on the Chargers .
