Dwayne Cumberlander - News Coordinator

I started at WUFO in 1979 as an intern. WUFO was also my first professional radio job. Little did I know at the time that WUFO would become like a home base for me. I would leave WUFO to hone in on my Craft. At the time I was at WUFO, there was so much talent that you would have to be extraordinary in order to get the position and knowledge one desired to be relevant in the business. Other talents such as Byron Pitts, Danny Harris, Kieth Pollard, Laura Dean and Mark Vann "Superman".So now you see why I had to leave.,. During my tenure in other cities I had the opportunity to become promotion director, Production director, Program director, general Manager. I credit WUFO for always keeping me grounded in the business and allowing me to meet people that have become lifelong friends. Although the radio bug had bitten me I still found my second passion which was education. In particular I would like to see more of my brothers fill their minds with all the knowledge meant for us to have in this life. Social Media: https://www.facebook.com/dwayne.cumberlander

Centrell O. Smith - Production Coordinator

I joined WUFO in November of 2009 as an Intern and News Reporter for Project Access To A-Free-Ka with Ras Jomo. Eventually my role expanded again when I became the Sunday Board Operator for all our great Inspirational shows as well as the WUFO Sport Report. In January of 2020 I took on the new role of Production Coordinator (yet again following in my father’s footsteps). It is mainly in this capacity that I serve today; insuring that all our commercials and shows have World Class Quality sound before they hit our airwaves. Terri Davis - Evening Jock

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Buffalo State College, where I started in radio in 1981 at the college station WBNY 91.3 FM. I had a show called "Music For Lovers, For Lovers of Music." I began my professional career here at 1080 AM WUFO, around the same time as Sheila Brown when we were at 89 LaSalle Avenue. From there, I spent three years at 103.9 FM WDKX in Rochester. While under the guidance of Jeff Grant, another WUFO Great, and Andre Marcel, I learned so much while I did weekends, being Assistant Music Director, and later Mid-days. I eventually came home, returning to WUFO before being "recruited" by 96.1 WJYE, where I also did work for WECK and Metro Traffic Control. After three years at WJYE, 93.7 WBLK decided I should be working for them and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I left WJYE for WBLK, where I did Mid-days before being paired with The "Magic Man" for the Morning Show (I am NOT a morning person….LOL…). I did that for seven years, leaving in 2000 to become a professional firefighter. I did many fire safety seminars for Senior Citizen Homes, Community Centers, for the public school system and produced a fire safety PSA. I retired from one of the greatest fire departments in the country, The Buffalo Fire Department, in 2020. Retirement is lovely but will drive you crazy if you have nothing to do. With the magical workings of Mrs. Sheila Brown, cause she has a way of getting things done, she asked me just to come to hang out. So I decided to use some of this downtime and do what is in my system. Bottom line, I've come full circle, back to where I started my professional career, The Legendary Mix 1080 AM WUFO and, now, Power 96.5 FM. I've come home.
