OJ Simpson played 11 seasons in the NFL. The Heisman Trophy Winner was the No.1 Overall selection by the Buffalo Bills in 1969. He rushed over 1,000 yards 5 times in seasons with the Bills. None more Historic than the 1973 season where he rushed for 2,003 yards in just 14 games on a average of 143 yards per game that same season both are records held to this day. Simpson put the City of Buffalo on the map with his smooth style of running earning the nickname “Juice”. His Play was box office and people came from all over to see O.J. play at the “old rockpile” on Best and Jefferson, So much the team moved to Orchard Park where they still resides. After Retirement his celeb status took flight literally starring in the movie “Airplane” ,Dragnet and Roots. Who will ever forget his iconic commercials with Hertz rental. Simpson went on to be a sideline reporter for NBS Sports in the early 80’s paving the way for African Americans Athletes to transition to the broadcasting booth. Simpson passed peacefully at his home in Vegas with his Children by his side he was 76 years old.
