NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR MURDER VICTIMS

SEPTEMBER 25, 2023

Date of event: Monday, September 25, 2023
Time of event: 6:00PM – 8:00 PM
Place of event: Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church
665 Michigan Ave, Buffalo NY 14203

P.E.A.C.E., Inc. is Buffalo based, provides support for families affected by

homicide.

The Nation will pause on this day to remember those senselessly lost to homicide and will
honor their courageous loved ones who know all too well the devastation that results from the
murder of a loved one. We will pay tribute and honor our nation’s murder victims and their
surviving family members. The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims was passed
by the House of Representative and the United State Senate in 2007.
National Day of Remembrance not only honors murder victims but also acknowledges those
organizations that provide services such as support and counsel to loved ones of murder
victims. The event will have guest speakers, a candle lighting ceremony and testimony by
survivors. The event is open to the public.

“The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is a reminder to everyone in our
nation that our loved ones lived, loved, and laughed and that we will never forget them.”
