Muki’s Bills Mock Draft 2.0 (We have a Trade)

Two weeks roughly away from this years NFL Draft and it’s still a lot of uncertainty to where the Bills pick at 27? But if you study the Bills current depth chart, you can identify the holes the Bills need to fill. Also there’s the speculation that the Bills could move back to accumulate more picks. Or make a draft day trade involving some players on the roster. In my 1.0 Bills mock I had the Bills selecting Georgia TE Darnell Washington who recently came to Buffalo Wednesday on a Pre-Draft visit. I feel Bills will take a Blocking Tight End at some point in this draft to pair with Dawson Knox (Hybrid) Quentin Morris (Hybrid)., with Washington being the best blocking Tight End in this year draft there are some more TE’s that can be serviceable but not as athletic as the 6’7 specimen in Washington. So here’s my 2.0 mock, please comment your input is valuable to me.

Bills Trade Pick 27 to Raiders for pick 38 (2 round) & pick 100 (3 round)

Bills can take best player available or move back with their guy still on the board to double up in rounds 2 and 3 to have four picks in the Top 100.

PICK 38 (2ND ROUND) FROM RAIDERS

Jack Campbell MLB IOWA 6’4 240

Bills get Tremaine Edmunds replacement out the way with Campbell the All-American stack backer that plays down-hill but is excellent in pass coverage also won the Butkus Award as the nation’s Top College Linebacker.

NEXT UP: ZAY FLOWERS WR BOSTON COLLEGE

PICK 59 (2ND ROUND)

Gervon Dexter DT FLORIDA 6’5 310

The Bills have four DT’s with one year left under contract. Dexter brings power and has a great get off. If Bills let Ed Oliver contract expire then having Dexter in the fold make sense.

NEXT UP: CODY MAUCH OT NORTH DAKOTA ST.

PICK 91 (3RD ROUND)

Tyler Steen OT ALABAMA 6’6 320

Spencer Brown sophomore slump is probably why Bills may entertain selecting a Right Tackle to create competition, Steen is very solid a transfer from Vanderbilt, powerful and physical.

NEXT UP: DAIYAN HENLEY LB WASHINGTON ST.

PICK 100 (3RD ROUND) FROM RAIDERS

A.T. Perry WR WAKE FOREST 6’3 200

Gabe Davis has one year left under contract, Bills want to extend him but still doesn’t prevent them from drafting another Play-maker that can stretch the field and be a threat in the red-zone.

NEXT UP: ZACCH PICKENS DT SOUTH CAROLINA

PICK 130 (4TH ROUND)

Zack Kuntz TE OLD DOMINION 6’7 255

Bills only have 2 Tight Ends on the roster, if all the top Blocking TE’s are gone. Kuntz has some upside that Bills can develop down the line.

NEXT PICK: JARTAVIUS MARTIN CB ILLINOIS

PICK 137 (5TH ROUND)

Cory Trice Jr. CB PURDUE 6’3 205

You can not never have enough cornerbacks, Trice has the size and the athleticism to battle with taller receivers and maybe play some Big Nickel.

NEXT UP: RASHAD TORRENCE III (SAFETY) FLORIDA

PICK 205 (6TH ROUND)

Hunter Luepke RB/FB/SPT NORTH DAKOTA ST. 6’1 235

This swiss army knife is right up thee Bills alley. This could be Taiwan Jones replacement , he can play special teams and help you as a power back in short yards situations or maybe red zone.

NEXT UP: BEN SIMS TE BAYLOR

This is getting pretty interesting as the NFL Draft nears, not sure if the Bills will move up or move back. Bills GM Brandon Beane had some interesting things to say about it. but you never know dealing with Beane he’s such a smoke-screener.
