In recent news according to ESPN sources, the Boston Celtics have expressed interest in a trade for Kevin Durant.

While Jayson Tatum is off the table in a potential trade for them, their ability to include a player like Jaylen Brown as a centerpiece makes them a strong contender, as well as the returners the Celtics have and potential for growth in the next NBA season.

The Celtics could also potentially offer three unprotected first-round draft picks and two pick swaps – along with 25-year old Brown, which could give a potential trade a lot of traction.

Kevin Durant, 12-time All-Star and two-time NBA Finals MVP, requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets on June 30th and hasn’t changed his mind yet.

The Nets haven’t seriously considered any one team or deal just yet, but one thing is for certain: they want a massive payoff with impactful players and/or top spots in future draft picks.

The speculation surrounding a trade with Kevin Durant and Jaylen Brown as the centerpieces may have sparked Brown’s recent social media postings – a tweet that read “Smh” – shaking my head – after a flurry of news, reports and speculation surround the trade buzz.

Brown has been known to make some noise on social media after trade rumors involving him start speculating.

Among other teams expressing interest in Durant are the Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors.
