Following the completion of day two of the Buffalo Bills OTAs (Organized Team Activities) on Tuesday, star quarterback Josh Allen has re-energized his commitment to the upcoming 2023-24 football season. With his eyes set on redemption and leading the Bills to ultimate glory, Allen demonstrated a strong desire to better his game while maintaining his status as one of the NFL’s elite players.
“Looking back on film last year, just myself, my eyes being in the wrong spot sometimes and you know making sure that I’m on the same page with the receivers, tight ends, and running backs, and the O-line,” Allen said. “I gotta be an extension of him (Kenneth Dorsey, offensive coordinator) when I’m on the field. Utilizing this time to really develop that relationship, and try to be in his mind as much as possible and I got no doubt we’ll get there.” Showing signs of his commitment to self-improvement is a dedication that speaks volumes about this young quarterback’s character.
In the 2022-23 season, Allen and the Bills experienced mixed fortunes. While they showcased glimpses of brilliance and made the playoffs, they, unfortunately, fell short of their Super Bowl aspirations. “We were top 3 to 4 offense in the league last year and it wasn’t good enough. So, just losing the playoffs isn’t fun,” Allen explained. The disappointment fueled Allen to raise his game and become an even stronger leader for his team.
Allen spoke passionately about his goals for the next season in this post-OTA interview. “I want to give everything that I have for as long as I play- there’s always new ways that I can find to get better,” Allen stated. “I so badly want to bring a Super Bowl here to Buffalo.” After hearing this comment, the Buffalo Bills and their fans are buzzing with excitement as a result of Allen’s motivation and determination.
