In Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics skateboarder Sky Brown won a Bronze medal for Great Britain breaking previous record held by Margery Hinton and making her the youngest athlete to win a medal for their country. Last year, after falling from a 15 foot skate ramp, Sky faced life threatening injuries that could’ve ruined her career but managed to make a full recovery to compete.
Between her Japanese mother and British father she was eligible for either team and faced with a decision. What team to pick? The decision was made and she chose Great Britain and now that she did, she holds the record for youngest athlete to win a medal for Great Britain.
