Bills running attack was a no-show in Preseason debut.
Bills plan to play their starters vs Pittsburgh but for how long? Last week against the Chicago Bears the Bills as a team rushed for 77 yards led by Frank Gore Jr. 7 carries 21 yards James Cook and Ray Davis Combined for 9 carries 4 yards. this is very concerning considering that majority of the Bills Offensive Line back back minus center Mitch Morse. “Getting a little uncomfortable is also good for us”. said Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott.
Steelers last week versus Houston rushed for over 100 yards and only gave up 80 yards combined. Head Coach Mike Tomlin and McDermott played together at William & Mary so they’ve faced each other quite a bit, most recent was last year playoffs in which the Bills won 31-17.
Ray Davis will look to be more assertive this week in Pittsburgh.
PLAYERS TO WATCH VS Steelers:
Javon Solomon DE
Solomon played well n his first preseason game with 2 tackles, and a few QB pressures
Dorian Williams LB
The spotlight is definitely on Williams especially with Matt Milano being out indefinitely. he did have 6 tackles and 1 sack last week.
Ray Davis RB
Davis has been practicing well this week during joint practices with Steelers, hopefully it could translate to gameday.
DeaQuan Hardy DB
The Penn St. Product is waiting to get an opportunity to get an return punt or kick very electric with the ball in his hands.
Josh to Coleman connection
Josh Allen did not complete a pass to Top Pick Keon Coleman last week I wouldn’t be surprise that Allen will target Coleman on first drive.
Prediction:
Steelers 23 Bills 19
