Buffalo’s college football teams had some tough blown out losses from last week.

UConn steamrolls UB in dominating fashion at Pratt & Whitney Stadium

It was a tough day on the road for these Bulls as UConn Huskies completely steamrolled them 47-3 in Connecticut. The Huskies had a total 500 yards of offense against UB’s defense. UConn jumped on to a 20-3 lead and never looked back after that. The Bulls only points came from a 47 yard field goal by kicker Upton Bellenfant, the longest kick of his career. The redshirt sophomore has made six straight field goals since he’s taken over the job. UB’s defense was once again led by Red Murdock and Shaun Dolac. Murdock had a career high of 14 tackles and added two tackles for a loss and a sack. While his partner in crime Dolac finished the game with 10 tackles and a sack. Offensively, wide receiver JJ Jenkins had a career high of five receptions. The Bulls head into their bye week and their next opponent is Toledo at home on October 12th.

Hudson Valley Community College remains undefeated by crushing Erie Community College

Very exhausting day for these Kats as the Hudson Valley Community College came to their house and completely embarrassed them to stay perfect on the year with a whooping score of 37-7. The Kats had very impressive first drive of the game, going 49 years on 12 plays and ending up with a touchdown catch by tight end Brayden Hoch from quarterback Eric Wilson. After that, Wilson would begin struggle getting some pressure by Hudson Valley’s defense being down 10-7 at the half. The second half of the game Wilson would begin with the ball and only have 37 total yards in the half. In the fourth quarter Hudson would end up with 20 points and walkaway with the game. The Kats used two quarterbacks with Eric Wilson and Thomas Che combining for 93 passing yards. Sophomore defensive back Ticheme Harris led the team in tackles with seven. The Kats next game will tomorrow afternoon taking on Hocking College at home around 3PM.
