Bills Draft 10 players and add 12 Undrafted to Roster
For months Bills fans wondered what would this reshaped Bills roster will look like for the upcoming season. This Bills defense operated the same way, with the same cores pieces for 6 seasons for the most part. The best stretches always start with the original members who got it off the ground. From Leslie Frazier, Brian Daboll, Chad Hall now Eric Washington to Joe Schoen and Dan Morgan. Bills have always shown sustained success when ever a major piece departs. But this time around it’s core field pieces such as Jordan Power, Tre White, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Mitch Morse and Micah Hyde is pondering his future at the moment but not under contract. So how will this 4-time AFC East Champion recover with so much turnover?
After losing half of the 2023 Roster the Bills will look different offensively. Drafting WR Keon Coleman (FSU) as their Top Pick in this years class (2nd Round) plus, signing Curtis Samuel in free agency shall bring some much needed excitement back into the passing game. Dalton Kincaid in his second season, will he become WR1 at TE? Khalil Shakir will definitely have a more added role, and James Cook coming off a 1000 yard season with Rookie RB Ray Davis as a nice complement. Not to mention Dawson Knox is overdue he’s the guy that Josh Allen trusts the most based on having the most experience with QB1. Keon Coleman (FSU) 6’4 215 WR. A big target that Josh will be having a lot of fun with going into a new stadium soon. Coleman’s Freakish ability and athleticism is an element that been missing in the Josh Allen Era.
Ray Davis (Kentucky) 5’9 210 RB. Physical between the tackles will give you Frank Gore vibes, explosive and he can catch hauling in 7 receiving touchdowns last year.
Sedrick Van-Pran Granger (Georgia) 6’5 310 C. Led Georgia to 2 National Championships. Could be the biggest steal of the class. A great way replace a Pro Bowler in Mitch Morse.
Tylan Grable (UCF) 6’6 305 OT. Had the No.1 athleticism score at the NFL Combine (91). Former QB/TE will develop into a quality depth piece could be a eventual starter down the line.
Travis Clayton (UK) 6’7 300 OL. Rugby player who could develop into a solid pro with his size and athleticism.
DEFENSE:
Cole Bishop (UTAH) 6’2 210 S/FS/DB Plays downhill like a Jordan Poyer and have the instincts of a Micah Hyde with ball skills.
Dewayne Carter (DUKE) 6’3 305 DT Three time captain, First Team All-ACC. Jim Tatum Award ACC Top scholar athlete. Carter has the leadership abilities, but could be a force in this new Bills rotation.
Edefuan Ulofoshio (WASH) 6’1 236 LB Solid Tackler, Athletic and has great Football IQ. Off the ball backer that will replace Matakevich on Special Teams.
Javon Solomon (TROY) 6’2 250 DE. Motor. Very powerful at the point of attack. Led the nation in sacks (16) can crack the rotation as a situational pass rusher.
Daquan Hardy (PENN St.) 5’9 180 NB/PR will fit the role as Taron Johnson backup, but is a fan favorite to win the punt return job.

(CNN) — About 1 in 8 adults in the United States has used a GLP-1 drug like Ozempic or Mounjaro at some point in their life, and half of them – about 6% of adults, or more than 15 million people – are currently using a prescription, according to new survey data from KFF.
The US Food and Drug Administration has reported shortages of the GLP-1 medications Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro at various dosages over the past year as drugmakers have raced to keep up with skyrocketing demand. Last week, Novo Nordisk said that at least 25,000 people in the US are starting its drug Wegovy each week – five times more than were able to start the medicine each week in December.
According to the new survey, most adults who have used these drugs have done so to manage chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease. More than 40% of respondents who have diabetes and about a quarter of those who have heart disease said they have used GLP-1 drugs.
But about 2 in 5 adults used GLP-1 drugs solely to lose weight, the KFF poll found.
Neither Ozempic nor Mounjaro is approved for weight loss specifically; the FDA greenlit them to treat type 2 diabetes in 2017 and 2022, respectively. But doctors commonly use them off-label for weight loss. Wegovy, which was approved in 2021 for obesity, contains the same key ingredient as Ozempic, called semaglutide, while Mounjaro uses a slightly different one, tirzepatide.
Overall, adults ages 50 to 64 were most likely to have used GLP-1 drugs, but younger adults were more likely to use them solely for weight loss, according to the KFF survey.
Medicare prohibits the coverage of prescription weight-loss drugs, and only 1% of seniors said that they have used a GLP-1 drug solely for weight loss, according to the KFF survey. But most adults – more than 60% – say that Medicare policy should be changed to include coverage for these drugs when prescribed for weight loss.
Still, regardless of insurance coverage, most adults who have used GLP-1 drugs said it was difficult to afford them, the KFF poll found.
A month’s supply of GLP-1 drugs can cost about $1,000, and last month, Sen. Bernie Sanders launched an investigation into the “outrageously high prices” that manufacturers charge.
Amid high costs and limited supply, some adults may seek alternatives to the highly sought-after drugs. Last year, the FDA warned against compounded versions of semaglutide that combine, mix or alter ingredients in ways that are not regulated or approved.
“Patients should only obtain drugs containing semaglutide with a prescription from a licensed health care provider, and only obtain medicines from state-licensed pharmacies or outsourcing facilities registered with FDA,” the agency said, citing reports of adverse events in people who used compounded semaglutide.
The vast majority of adults who have used GLP-1 drugs – about 80% – said they got the drugs or a prescription from a primary care doctor or a specialist, according to the KFF survey. But about 11% said they got them from an online provider or website, and 10% said they got them from a medical spa or aesthetic medical center.
The KFF survey findings are based on responses that were collected from a nationally representative sample of nearly 1,500 adults during the last week of April.

(CNN) — The Cleveland Cavaliers leveled their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Boston Celtics, taking down the No. 1 seed 118-94 at TD Garden on Thursday.
The Cavaliers bounced back from a demoralizing Game 1 blowout to flip the script and steal home-court advantage away from Boston.
All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out eight assists to help Cleveland to its first win of the series.
After a competitive first two quarters, the two sides entered the break locked at 54, before the fourth-seeded Cavs ran away with the game in the second half.
Mitchell went off after the restart – scoring 23 of his 29 in the second half – as the Cavs offense began firing on all cylinders while the Celtics struggled to get anything going.
“I hadn’t shot much, trying to find ways to get guys involved early and picking my spots. I was just continuing to find ways to apply pressure on them,” said Mitchell after the game.
“In the second half, it was scoring. Sometimes, it’s assists. Sometimes, it’s rebounds.
Whatever it takes. And when it was time to go, it’s time to go. I knew, at some point, I was going to have to start, obviously, shooting.”
When Mitchell banked in a triple in the fourth quarter to put Cleveland up by 15, he knew things were going his way.
“Sometimes, you get lucky. Shooters shoot,” he said.
Six Cavaliers scored in double figures – including the entire starting line-up – and Cleveland shot almost 55% from the field as a team and over 46% from three.
Evan Mobley – shifted over from power forward to center with Jarrett Allen still sidelined by injury – scored 21 points, with Caris LeVert matching him with 21 off the bench.
It was a disappointing Game 2 for the Celtics, who are widely considered to be one of the favorites to win it all after cruising through the regular season with the NBA’s best record.
All-Star forward Jayson Tatum led his team in scoring with 25 points though Boston could not keep up with Cleveland’s offensive output in the second half. The C’s shot 36.1% from the field – and 11.1% from deep, making two of their 18 three-point attempts – after halftime.
“Obviously, we didn’t shoot the ball very well tonight, but defensively, it was an unacceptable performance, and I think that’s where I’m the most upset,” said Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown. “Defensively, we gave up 118 points, and on top of that, we lost the rebound battle, so we didn’t help ourselves tonight.
“You take it on the chin, you learn from it, and you come out and put your best foot forward for the next game. We need to be ready to respond.”
“You treat it the same way you would a win,” head coach Joe Mazzulla added, per the team. “You come in tomorrow, you watch film, and you get better for Game 3.”
The 17-time champions also suffered a Game 2 upset against the Miami Heat in the first round, though on that occasion, the defeat turned out to be no more than a momentary setback as Boston won the series in five games.
Game 3 is in Ohio on Saturday night.
Mavericks fight back to tie series against Thunder at 1-1
Slovenian superstar Luka Dončić overcame a frustrating Game 1 as his Dallas Mavericks squad defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 119-110.
Dončić – who finished third in MVP voting behind the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and 2023-24 winner Nikola Jokić – had 29 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a block as the Mavericks picked up the victory.
“I think that was one of the hardest games I’ve had to play,” Dončić said postgame.
“I’m battling out there trying to do my best to help the team win.
“They have great players. They have great chemistry, great team – and it’s going to be tough. It’s going to be a fight ‘til the end, so just much respect to Oklahoma, but it’s big time we won this game.”
PJ Washington added another 29 points and 11 rebounds for Dallas, while Gilgeous-Alexander led OKC with 33 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and two blocks.
This was the first defeat the top-seeded Thunder have tasted this postseason and Game 3 is on Saturday at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

(CNN) — The WNBA is planning on adding an expansion franchise in Toronto, according to Canadian news outlet and CNN newsgathering partner CBC.
CBC, citing four people with knowledge of the deal but who are not authorized to speak about it, reports the ownership group will be headed by Toronto billionaire Larry Tanenbaum of Kilmer Sports Inc. The franchise would begin playing in 2026.
CBC reports an announcement is expected May 23. It will be the first WNBA franchise outside of the US.
When reached for comment on the CBC report, a WNBA spokesperson said to CNN: “We continue to engage in productive conversations with interested ownership groups in a number of markets but have no news to report at this time.”
CNN is seeking comment from the Kilmer Group, which includes Kilmer Sports. CBC received a statement from Courtney Glen, vice president of public affairs and communications for the Kilmer Group, who said the organization has “no update at this time.”
Tanenbaum is chairman of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Limited and is a governor of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC.
Currently at 12 teams, the league will expand to 13 in 2025 with a team being added in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the WNBA draft in New York on April 15, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert said the league’s goal is to have a 14th team in 2026.
Engelbert said at the draft the league has engaged with Toronto, as well as Philadelphia, Portland, Denver, Nashville and South Florida on potential expansion.
Engelbert also said the league hopes to expand to 16 teams and said she is “pretty confident” that could happen by 2028.
“We’re on our way to 16,” Engelbert said. “That will add 48 roster spots in just a couple of years. That, in a league of 144, is a lot. That’s 30 percent. I think it’ll be great when we get those done over the next couple years.”

(CNN) — While some may have been excited and/or amused by the diss-track feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the man many consider to be an elder statesman of hip-hop appears less than enthused about it.
Questlove, the drummer for the hip-hop group The Roots, recently posted a note on his verified Instagram account that many took to be about the high-profile battle between the two rappers.
“Nobody won the war,” he wrote. “This wasn’t about skill. This was a wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary — women & children (& actual facts) be damned.”
Drake and Lamar have engaged in a lyrical battle in recent weeks, releasing “diss tracks” against each other that include personal and professional jabs that have fueled online debate among their fans.
Social media leaned into the drama with memes and hot takes about who “won.”
But Questlove appeared to take a darker attitude about it.
“Same audience wanting blood will soon put up ‘RIP’ posts like they weren’t part of the problem,” he wrote in is note. “Hip hop truly is dead.”
Questlove disabled the feature that allows for comments on his post.

(CNN) — As pro-Palestinian protests have erupted on college campuses nationwide, protesters — including students and faculty — continue to be arrested since the first demonstrators were detained at Columbia University three weeks ago. Nearly 200 protesters were arrested on May 7, the second highest number of arrests in a day since protests began, according to a CNN review of university and law enforcement statements. April 30 saw the most detainments with nearly 400 arrests.
More than 2,600 people have been arrested on college and university campuses since April 18 as schools prepare for spring commencement ceremonies, according to CNN’s review. The University of Southern California, where nearly 100 protesters were arrested April 24, canceled its primary commencement event. Protesters have been arrested on more than 50 campuses across at least 25 states and the District of Columbia. Many other schools have experienced protests without arrests.
Protest demands vary from campus to campus, but a major focus is that universities divest from companies with financial ties to Israel amid its war with Hamas. There have also been counter-protests, resulting in clashes at UCLA.
CNN is monitoring campus protests and will continue to update this map with any new arrests.
