Bills Offense cautious on showing new look.
Bills came out Saturday unimpressive, as Bills went 3 and out in Josh Allen’s first offensive series. The Bills next series Allen and Company got things going but Allen got pulled during that drive because the 1st quarter ended, Josh was only set to play the first quarter. Bears Rookie QB Caleb Williams on the other hand showed why he was the Top pick in this years draft class. going 4 for 7 passing for 97 yards. The Bears offense on the day accumulated over 340 total yards. “Our standard was not out there today” said Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott.
Bills didn’t win upfront on both sides of the ball. Not sure if Bears Defensive Coordinator Eric Washington had any motivation coaching against his former team, But RB James Cook and Rookie Ray Davis combined for 9 carries 4 yards. Rookie Frank Gore Jr. led all Bills with 7 carries, 21 yards. Big adjustment for Bills with a lot of new faces, getting communication in sync will be something I know Bills coaching staff will make a point of emphasis this week. “There’s a balance of running what we’ve been practicing and not showing a lot to the world too, It’s preseason at the end of the day.” said Josh Allen.
The Bills will travel to Pittsburgh this week to have a joint practice followed by game on Saturday.
