Bills Mock Draft 1.0

The Joe Brady Era has begun. But first let’s summarize the Bills 2025 season since we’re still early in the new offseason.

THE BIG PICTURE

The Bills Remained an AFC contender built around franchise QB Josh Allen, plus the offense continued to rely heavily on Allen’s dual-threat ability. The defense showed flashes but dealt with consistency and depth concerns. Passing game efficiency depended on whether the WR room developed into a true playoff-level unit. Red Zone execution remained a key factor in tight games. Bills fell short, needing more explosive weapons.

-DRAFT OUTLOOK

As long as Josh Allen is healthy, Buffalo remains a contender. Bills need more defensive playmakers, speed and more explosiveness within the offense. Here are some positional needs , especially since the Bills are switching over to a 3-4 Hybrid defense under new Defensive Coordinator Jim Leonhard.

1.WIDE RECEIVER- Bills got Allen a true No.1 WR that he can grow with. But is it enough?

2. LINEBACKER-How many players on the current roster fits the scheme.

3. EDGE RUSHER/ DEFENSIVE LINE– Bills need a young menace that will get after the QB.

4. OFFENSIVE LINE (INTERIOR)- Lost Starter David Edwards (LG) to free agency.

5. DEFENSIVE BACKS– Only have Benford, Hairston and Alford in the DB room.

Here’s my Bills 1.0 Mock

ROUND 1 PICK 26: WR-KC CONCEPCION 6’0′ 200 (TAMU)

Even with the D.J. Moore Trade, you still need to load Josh Allen up with playmakers. Concepcion is the best playmaking receiver in this draft class. He’s also is an explosive punt-returner so he can contribute multiple ways. If GM Brandon Beane doesn’t trade out of pick and Concepcion is there, grab the explosive piece to add to Allen’s weaponry. ROUND 3 PICK 91: DT-DARRELL JACKSON JR. 6’5 335 (FLORIDA ST)

Jackson Jr. alongside Deone Walker and Ed Oliver can allow Rosseau and Chubb to play one-on -one. It also would help shut down the run, an area the Bills Defense struggled at times last season. CLICK LINK FOR HIGHLIGHT: https://youtu.be/SNcpZz-NUhU?si=ZzJ6CB9Rlv2aMsdv

PROS & CONS

  • EXPLOSIVE PLAYMAKER
  • VERSTILITY
  • MULTI-TOOL WEAPON
  • SIZE LIMITATIONS
  • DROP CONCERNS
  • BLOCKING/PHYSICALITY

If the Bills were to stay put at pick 26, I would choose Concepcion over Denzel Boston and Omar Cooper if they were all on the board. Load Josh Allen up with as many weapons as you can the more playmaker you have on the field makes very difficult for opposing defenses to figure out. Concepcion can make things happen at any moment with the ball in his hands.
