Bills getting better under the radar

Iron Sharpens Iron first week of Bills Training Camp

Bills haven’t forgot how their 2022 Season ended. Not how many analyst predicted it to be. “I really love a plus and a minus, a plus and a minus”. Bills Left Tackle Dion Dawkins as he spoke with media. It’s been a battle just six days in, something Bills coaching staff and front office likes to see. “That’s what training camp is, we’re just out to make each other, The best QB, the best WR in the game and they’re making us better and we’re making them better and that’s how you get to your goal.” says All-Pro Safety Jordan Poyer.

Diggs wants all the smoke

Stefon Diggs has been one of this best WR in the NFL since he has been in a Bills uniform, and has his eye on a championship this season more than ever. “I’ve been there before , I’ve been to AFC Championships wanna take those next steps and getting there is one thing”, says Diggs. The Chemistry he has with Allen is the best in the NFL, It’s been on display everyday at Bills Training Camp.

A slimmer but more stronger Gabe Davis is ready for Breakout role.

Gabe Davis is probably the most underrated “Deep Threat” in the NFL finished 2nd in the league with 17.4 yards per catch last season. Bills OC Ken Dorsey knows he is ready to open up the playbook more for Davis this season. “Get some more short game routes and being involved more in those situations would definitely help me out” Davis said. Let me say this Gabe Davis can run all the routes it just hasn’t been designed that way.

Kincaid’s World

The Rookie sensation have impressed the 1st week of Training Camp. Developing immediate chemistry with Josh Allen. “It’s valuable getting those reps with Josh, and getting on the same page with him”. Says Kincaid. Dorsey like to run 12 personnel Unfortunately O.J. Howard didn’t fit the mold and Dorsey seemed outside his comfort zone at times last season. But now Kincaid is the newest center piece to this offense.

Torrence is finding comfort

O’Cyrus has been the most quiet but is moving up the ladder, and passing all the crash courses thrown at him so far. I know Bills fans would love to push him ahead of Bates because where the Bills selected him in the (2nd Round).

On the defensive side of things they are Flying around the ball and everyone is making plays Leonard Floyd has had his share of would be sacks DT Ed Oliver has been playing like wants another contract and A.J. Epenesa has been the surprise has put on much needed weight and it hasn’t slowed him down. Linebacker looks to be the biggest question mark with the departure of Tremaine Edmunds, but Tyrell Dodson who backed up Edmunds is at the helm and responded well in training camp .Bills Rookie LB Dorian Williams will focus more on playing outside, per McDermott. CB2 is the biggest camp battle with Kaiir Elam, Christian Benford and Dane Jackson. All 3 three have made plays, I’m giving Jackson the slight edge just on being the most trusted.

The Triplets are back for a 7th season together.

Tre’ White, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer were the first 3 pickups in the McDermott Era. And during the time span they have the best safety duo and CB1 combo in the NFL. All 3 completely healthy from last season and look to make each count to get to the ultimate goal. “It’s just cool to get that rhythm back going again, seems like it never left”, says Poyer. Hyde coming off neck injury understands the importance of getting to the Big One. ” I play my best game when he’s healthy.” says Hyde, has he speaks on Jordan Poyer who dealt multiple injuries last season.

Week 2 Outlook:

Good to see the team back to business refreshing continuity, building chemistry with the new guys and competing is what you want to see, Bills look very sharp Week 1. Coming up Bills will be preparing for Red/ White Scrimmage Aug. 4th, 5:30pm at Highmark Stadium. That will set the table with a new depth chart for Pre-season evaluation. “We want to build a system around the strengths of our players”. says Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott.
