Buffalo finish 8-0 at home for the first time since 1990.
The offseason chatter was that the playoff window was closed for this Bills team to make the playoffs, after losing 6 out of 8 captains last season. Josh Allen lost Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis and Mitch Morse and is now the front runner for the MVP Award. Defense was key to victory with AJ Epenesa Sack Safety to pad their lead going into halftime. Jets came out moving the football when Greg Rousseau deflected Aaron Rodgers pass meant for Devante Adams and fell into the arms of DT Jordan Phillips. Then Josh Allen found Amari Cooper one on one for 30 yard TD and that got things rolling.
Von Miller and Co. gets after it
Bills Defense tallied 4 sacks, 2 interceptions and 1 force fumble as the Bills are #1 in the NFL with (31) takeaways and #1 in turnover differential at (+23). Von Miller passed Rickey Jackson for 16th All-Time in sacks with 128.5
Josh Allen continues to play in MVP form.
Josh Allen didn’t have a stat stuffer of a game but did score 3 Touchdowns becoming the only player in NFL History to have over 40 Total Touchdowns in 5 straight seasons. Rodgers a 4-Time MVP himself, who’s good friends with Allen gave his endorsement to Allen for MVP after the game.
Up Next: Season Finale
Bills will play New England on the road to close out the season. Not expecting the starters to play much, I’m sure their are players close to incentives and some streaks need to stay intact, but it will be interested to see what the Patriots are playing for? Right now they have the Top pick in the 2025 Draft a win could change that order, and the Bills are pushing to close out with a 14 win season and that would also be another franchise record.
