Will the Bills Move Up or Back in the First Round?2

With the NFL just around the corner it’s time to start narrowing down the possible scenarios for the Buffalo Bills to move up to get their guy, or slide back a little to gain another pick in the third round and at least have 3 picks in the Top 100.

ON THE MOVE

Everyone knows that if the Bills were to move up it would be for WR Brian Thomas Jr. from LSU. He scored 17 Touchdowns last season. At 6’3 210 pounds and very fast, Thomas Jr. skill set fits what the Bills Offense has been lacking. He a tall receiver with a big catch-radius with speed, hasn’t ran the complete route tree in college (LSU) because he wasn’t asked to but has shown at combine that he will not have a problem getting in and out of breaks. Plus giving Josh Allen a No.1 WR he can groom for the next 5 years.

**TRADE** BUFFALO MOVE PICK 28 TO SEATTLE FOR PICK NO.16 Brian Thomas Jr.-WR(LSU) 6’3 210

BILLS GIVE PICK NO. 28 (1st) NO.248 (7th) plus 2025 (2nd) to move up 12 spots and receive FROM SEATTLE NO. 16 (1st) NO.192 (6th)2024. Again moving up to grab talent is always a plus in my book. Thomas gives the Bills an element of an exclusive target that’s bigger and one of the fastest on the field that can win 50/50 passes. You pair that together with a Curtis Samuel with a Khalil Shakir and a Dalton Kincaid, let’s not forget RB James Cook had a breakout season in 2023. Joe Brady Offense still should be one of the best in the league.

2nd Round Pick (58) via Green Bay Tyler Nubin 6’1 200 FS MINNESOTA

2nd round Pick (60) Ruke Orhorhoro 6’4 295 DT CLEMSON

3RD Round Pick (91) via Green Bay Braelon Allen 6’2 235 RB WISCONSIN

4th Round Pick (128) Johnny Wilson 6’7 235 WR FLORIDA ST.

4th Round Pick (133) Jarrian Jones 6’0 190 NB FLORIDA ST.

5th Round Pick (160) Elijah Jones 6’1 190 CB BOSTON COLLEGE

5th Round Pick (163) Jalyx Hunt 6’4 255 EDGE HOUSTON CHRISTIAN

6th Round Pick (192) Jaylan Ford 6’2 240 LB TEXAS

6th Round Pick (200) Walter Rousse 6’6 310 OT OKLAHOMA

Review:

Bills GM Brandon Beane goes all in and not only move up in the 1st Round but to double up in the 2nd Round with trade from Green Bay (Pick 58 Second Round & Pick 91 Third Round) for Bills (1st) Round 2025 and (Pick 144) in the Fifth Round of 2024. If not when? then WHEN, its time to make the moves that make people say the Bills are all in at a Super Bowl run! This is a Bold statement I believe needs to be made.

Move Back Perhaps?

If Thomas get selected in the Top 15 then maybe the Bills will move back to get an extra pick in the 3rd Round. WR list will be running thin come the second round and maybe the Bills have their eyes on a WR that will be there early to mid 2nd, and grab a 3rd Round pick to help shore up things on the defensive front. Here’s my Breakdown.

Tyler Nubin 6’2 200 Safety could be a complete steal in 2nd Round

Last year’s draft class no one expected the Bills to take TE Dalton Kincaid in the 1st round and LG-O’Cyrus Torrence basically felt into Bills lap in the second round. This year draft class could have a different approach

Bills move back 5 spots in a trade with Carolina for pick 33 (second round) and pick 101 (fourth round) for Bills pick 28 (first round) pick 248 (seventh round). To select WR Keon Coleman 6’4 215 Florida St. Big and Physical will pose as a True Red Zone threat with Playmaking ability the Bills haven’t had.

Bills Trade back up with Washington for pick 40 (second round) and pick 78 (third round) and pick 100 (fourth round) For Bills 1st round pick (2025) and pick 144 (fifth round) pick 200 & 204 in (sixth round).

Pick No.40 Xavier Leggette WR South Carolina 6’1 225 . Has incredible run after the catch ability. Getting Josh some weapons that he can grow with over the next 4 years should one a top priority to replace Davis and Diggs.

Pick No. 60 Tyler Nubin Safety Minnesota 6’2 200. HIGHEST RATED TRUE SAFETY IN THE CLASS.

Pick No. 78 Ruke Orhorhoro DL Clemson 6’4 295. Real good “get off” with high motor.

Pick No.100 Elijah Jones CB Boston College 6’2 190 Solid, rangy corner that can be a quality depth piece.

Pick No.101 Braelon Allen 6’2 235 RB Wisconsin. Power Back that will complement Pro Bowl RB James Cook very well and protect Josh in “Pass Pro”. Fits any run scheme.

Pick No.128 Jarrian Jones NB Florida St 6’1 200. Bills Depth behind Taron Johnson.

Pick No.144 Jovan Solomon Edge Troy 6’2 250 Had 18 sacks last season.

Pick No.160 Edefguan Ulofoshio LB 6’2 235 Washington Can cover and HIT will develop on special teams.

Pick No.163 . Javon Foster OT 6’5 310 Missouri. Bills get a swing tackle just in case Spencer Brown heads into Free Agency in 2025.

AGGRESSIVE.

If had to describe it in one word. the Bills have every resource with the draft capital to be “All In” to keep this roster championship caliber.
