When a new player joins a team, there is always the question of fit both on and off the floor. For new Philadelphia 76ers big man Andre Drummond, the fit on the floor is to be a good backup to Joel Embiid. Off the floor, there are some relationships he already has.
Everybody remembers the feud that he had with Embiid in the past, something Drummond said is officially over, and he is looking forward to playing with the big fella.
However, what about the other players on the team?
Drummond already had a relationship with Tobias Harris as the two played together with the Detroit Pistons before Harris was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in the Blake Griffin deal. Drummond and Harris helped the Pistons make the playoffs for the first time in nine seasons in 2016.
“Everybody knows Tobias and I played in Detroit together and watching his career since the day that he left has been amazing to watch him elevate and grow,” Drummond started. “Tobias is the player, on and off the court, is the same guy. He’s just a focused, hard-nosed guy that does everything the right way and just tries to make the best for his team and help us be in the best position to win.”
