On July 16 which is officially known as 716 Day, Planet Ethos Esports and Entertainment Agency hosted the 716 day Esports championship at Bryant and Stratton’s downtown location. The NBA 2k players battled it out round for round for the crown and the competition was just as good as watching live basketball. The arena they played in was a top Koch gaming space which is the home of the Bryant and Stratton Esports team. All the equipment was state of the art, on the best systems money can buy. The championship game was kicked off by the dean of Bryant and Stratton and when it was time to present the crown to Isaac aka Unique – Versace, the winner of the championship, Bryant and Stratton’s athletic director Damone Brown was there to do the honors. The championship organizer, Dewitt Lee III from Planet Ethos says “events like this are new to this area and very rarely assessable to gamers from the black and brown communities. We wanted to provide an experience of a lifetime to the gamers and introduce many of the players to the opportunities to receive scholarships for playing video games, across the country and right here in WNY” For more information on new Esport championships and summer camps – go to www.esportsmentoring.com
