Another WNBA regular season has come and gone, now the fruits of labor planted earlier in the season, along with all the hard work and dedication of these talented ladies is going to have a massive payoff for one of these teams in particular.
In the WNBA, the top eight teams with the highest win percentage – regardless of conference – will qualify for the playoffs. Unlike the NBA, where the bracket is divided into the East and West.
Tonight, we will kick off the festivities that will lead us to see who will be the champion of the 2022 WNBA season.
Starting off tonight at 8pm, we have the defending champions and 2nd seeded Chicago Sky facing off against the 7th seeded New York Liberty to determine the best of three and who will continue in the playoffs.
After that game, starting at 10pm tonight, we will see the highly favored 1st seeded Las Vegas Aces take on the 8th seeded Phoenix Mercury – who have been without Brittney Griner all season and will be without Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith tonight.
Tomorrow, Thursday August 18th at 8pm we will see the 3rd seeded Connecticut Sun take on the 6th seeded Dallas Wings in a best of three matchup.
Those ladies will be followed by the 4th seeded Seattle Storm and 5th seeded Washington Mystics at 10pm.
